FAQ: Pricing Overview
How does the payment side of things work?
Honestly, each agency is different. A lot of companies will require you pay them your full budget and from that they will take care of paying all the suppliers, including their fee and potential commission.
At Olive Sky, we think that can be a little daunting and it’s paramount to us to keep all payments entirely transparent, so with us, you’ll keep full control of your budget - you’ll see and sign every invoice, paying the suppliers directly as and when they and require it and you’ll simply pay us our fee as you would with any other supplier. This way you’ll have that extra peace of mind that you have full visibility of the actual costs, don’t worry though - we will still be doing all the sourcing and negotiating, and we will be on to hand to check through contracts, remind you of payment deadlines and create a comprehensive budget overview to keep you on track.
However, if you’d rather take all the pressure off, we are of course happy to take on your full budget and we will organise all the payments from our side. It’s entirely your choice.
How much do you charge at Olive Sky?
Ah the key question that we are often asked early on – after all it’s usually unchartered territory for most people that hire us, and even an ‘unlimited’ budget has a budget so our fees need to be clear – we understand.
That being said, each wedding or event is entirely bespoke, so this can be a how-long-is-a-piece-of-string question – but we’ll try to answer as best as we can.
Generally speaking, we charge in one of two ways:
If you know your budget and rough location / scale, we are happy to agree a fixed rate for our fee in advance, which is great if you are working to tight budget and want to have your costs all laid out from the get-go. This fee would reflect 15% of your total event budget. Naturally, if your budget increases or indeed decreases dramatically, the fee will reflect this budget change and we will invoice accordingly as per our contract. If that seems like a lot, don’t forget we benefit from great connections and years in the industry…and with that, comes unbeatable prices that you wouldn’t be able to secure on your own.
If you are not sure of your budget, location and scale don’t worry - we will still work on the 15% of your overall cost, but it will be apportioned throughout the planning process.
If you are looking for partial planning or you are working with a corporate contract, we also work to a day rate – which is available on request dependant of the length and scope of work.
Great, is there a contract?
Absolutely! We have a detailed contract, and we invite you to request additions or adaptations to the contract that are particular to your needs should you feel a stone is left unturned. It goes without saying that we are insured too.
